EAGLE RIVER – A Grand Rapids man sustained injuries Wednesday while riding a bicycle near Copper Harbor, according to Sgt. Bill Luokkanen of the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

At 2:16 p.m., Luokkanen said Thomas Northrup. 54, was riding on Brockway Mountain Road when he lost control of the bicycle on a curve in the road.

Luokkanen said Grant Township First Responders treated Northrup at the scene. Mercy EMS transported him to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.
