Houghton County School Election Results
These are the results of school elections in Houghton County.
Adams Township School District: Eric Mattila (756) was elected to a four-year term. George Eakin (452) and Chad Snell (372) were elected to two six-year seats, defeating Bruce Heltunen (235), Jason Coffey (326) and John Asiala (320).
Public Schools of Calumet, Laurium & Keweenaw: Melanie Parker (1,154) and James Vertin (1,230) defeated Francis Beiring (971) and Philip Halonen (1,072) for two six-year terms.
Chassell Township Schools: Suzanna Tuomi (534), Randal Danison (472), Brady Tervo (504), Kenneth Kytta (523) were elected to four four-year terms, defeating Todd Vankleeck (376) and Marcia Messer (455).
Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Schools: Steven LeClaire (579) and Jennifer Stout (559) were elected to two four-year terms. Dallas Bond (393), Donna Engman (541), Tera Janke (406) and Jeff Stevens (522) defeated David Maki (336) and Beverly Schmitz (300) for four six-year seats.
Elm-River Township School: vJason Moilanen (97) and James Plutchak (109) were elected to two four-year terms.
Hancock Public Schools: Mary Babcock (1,614), Paula Nutini (1,677) and Randy Heinonen (1,684) were elected to three six-year terms.
Houghton-Portage Township School District: Daniel Crane (2,069) and Robert Wheeler (1,770) were elected to two six-year terms.
Lake Linden-Hubbell Public Schools: Jennifer Beaudette (1,217) and write-in candidate Curtis Audette (56) were elected to two two-year terms. Jeffrey Dennis (967), Lori Ambuehl (929) and Rebbecca Loukus defeated Patricia Burton (697) for three six-year seats.
Stanton Township Public Schools: Jill Efraimson (437) and Bradley Pennala (476) were elected to two four-year terms.
