Cleaned up in time for fair

Daily Mining Gazette/Kali Katerberg The fairgrounds are finally dry, just in time for the start of the Houghton County Fair.

HANCOCK — After flood damages and a soggy arena the Houghton County Fair is now dry and ready for use.

With the Aug 23 through 26 fair dates quickly approaching the cleanup comes just in time thanks to the work of the Fair Association and the City of Hancock.

“Our crew has been working very closely with the fair association,” said City Manager Glenn Anderson.

The parking lot has been graded and put back into order and the arena is dried out and staying that way.
