Brown seeks E-TC School Board seat

U.S. Forest Service employee Shawn Brown of Bruce Crossing is on the ballot for one of three seats open on the Ewen-Trout Creek (E-TC) School Board.

Brown is a former E-TC athletic director, a position he held for four years.

“I’m running for the school board because I feel all students need to be represented and we need to provide the opportunities necessary to help our students be successful in life, whatever they choose,” he said.

Along with his wife of 26 years, Kelley, they have three adult children, all of whom graduated from E-TC.

“We are the proud grandparents to two wonderful granddaughters,” he said.

For the past 10 years, Brown has been active in the E-TC Athletic Booster Club.

“My experience as a parent, administrator and booster club member has given me an inside look at the school, and I see areas that need to be improved and open for our students,” he said.

Brown went on to say, “I want to empower the staff to do their job and provide our students with the best possible faculty we can provide.”
