Village candidate wants to keep forward movement

SOUTH RANGE – Cody Bonini was appointed to the village council a few years ago and is now running for his seat on the November ballot to continue on the progress already made.

Bonini first joined to help keep the village looking nice and since then has been a part of bringing in new playground equipment and reworking ordinances, a process that remains ongoing.

“I like where the committee is going,” he said, pointing to those recent accomplishments as well as the lightly used grader recently purchased for snow removal.

He has already received positive comments about the new playground with kids already enjoying the new equipment, including his own son.

Bonini grew up in nearby Baltic and bought his grandfather’s house in South Range ten years ago. He also serves on the fire department.

Long-term Bonini sees himself staying in the village and helping improve it on the council, a process he has enjoyed.

“I don’t see myself going anywhere,” he said.

Bonini serves on the Streets and Sidewalks Commission.
