CLK Elementary Health Team scores $5,500 state grant
CALUMET TOWNSHIP — The Calumet-Laurium-Keweenaw School Board thanked the CLK Elementary Health Team for its success on procuring $5,500 in grant funds as part of the UP Health Project to improve nutrition awareness, increase physical activity, and address social and emotional well-being of elementary school students.
The Health Team members are Tristan Baranowski, Jennifer Davidson, Julie Fenton, Heather Hainault, Amy Hakala, Matthew Hampton, Carol Jankila, Darren Kinnunen, Mike Ojala, Cathy Olsson, Steve Parks, Deb Pavolich, Holly Rivest, Melissa Schneiderhan, Kathy Wetton, and NMU teacher, Taylor Olson.
Pavolich, a fourth-grade teacher, recently published a book, “Last Chance for Outside.”
