All ladies invited to free ‘Listen to Your Heart… Keeping the Beat AFib’ event

HOUGHTON – Are you living with AFib? A little fib can lead to a big problem and you may not even realize you have it.

Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital & Clinics invites all ladies to learn about atrial fibrillation risks, symptoms and treatment options during Listen to Your Heart… Keeping the Beat AFib, a fun and free Aspiring Women event.

Aspirus Cardiologist Dr. Peter Vaitkevicius and Certified Physician Assistant Nicole Webb will share steps you can take to prevent an AFib-related stroke. Ladies will enjoy a heart-healthy brunch, refreshments, an Aspiring Women gift, and fun raffles.

Listen to Your Heart… Keeping the Beat AFib takes place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Michigan Tech Memorial Union Ballroom in Houghton. Registration is required to attend this free event as space is limited to 250 ladies. Call 337-6541 to reserve your spot.

“We love the women in our community and care deeply about their health,” said Jenn Jenich-Laplander, Aspirus Upper Peninsula regional communications and engagement lead. “These events are a great way for us to show them this and have a lot of fun.”
