FiberRama!

A sale of fabric, yarn and art supplies

HANCOCK – The Copper Country Community Arts Center will host FiberRama, a sale of fabric, yarn, and art supplies will be on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. local fiber artists will also be demonstrating various fiber arts techniques from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. during the event. Demonstrations and admission to the sale are free to the general public.

Searching for affordable and interesting materials for your next arts or craft project? We probably have just what you need! FiberRama is a sale of yarn, weaving threads, fabric, notions, magazines, tools, assorted art supplies, frames, and books. There will be six fiber arts demonstrations, showcasing various techniques where the public is encouraged to interact and ask questions. These demonstrators include Gini Brewer, showcasing knitting and crochet; Jenny Lester, who will be showcasing spinning; Emma Mackey, who will demonstrate embroidery; Ginger Alberti from Sew Cranky will demonstrate hand cranked sewing machines from the turn of the century; and Hannah Smith, who will showcase needle felting. The demonstrations will take place during the FiberRama sale from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.. Proceeds from these events benefit the Copper Country Community Arts Center. The FiberRama sale will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Copper Country Community Arts Center, located at 126 Quincy Street in Hancock. This year’s sale will be located in the upstairs ballroom. Please use the door on Tezcuco Street to enter FiberRama. Look for directional signs on the day of the event.
