Calumet Theatre Musical Mondays Series kicks off with pianist Bob Milne
CALUMET — The Calumet Theatre will kick off the popular Musical Mondays Concert Series on Aug 3 at 7:30 p.m. with a performance by long-time Copper Country favorite Bob Milne. Milne has been entertaining Calumet Theatre patrons each summer for many years, and is considered to be the best Ragtime & Boogie-Woogie pianist in the world. Milne was filmed and documented for future generations in 2004 during three days of interviews at the Library of Congress, and was declared a National Treasure at the conclusion.
The Calumet Theatre is currently operating under the State of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Phase 5 reopening requirements which allows “performance spaces” to reopen (as of June 10), but “Limits the number of people in the venue to 25% of its maximum capacity or to 250, whichever is smaller.” In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 2020-147, masks/face coverings are required for entrance into the Theatre and attendance at performances.
