Eric (Bracken) Lucas is a senior at L’Anse High School.

Currently, Bracken is a second-year Welding and Manufacturing student with the CCISD’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) program and has a Work-Based Placement at Selkey Fabricators, LLC in Baraga.

In place of coming to the Career Tech Center, four days a week Bracken goes to Selkey Fabricators, LLC to learn skills he will utilize in the future.

“Taking this class has helped reinforce what I want to do and given me a purpose to get through school to do what I want in the future,” Bracken said, when asked about his CTE experience.

Next year Bracken plans to attend Advanced Welding Institute in Early River, Wisconsin, to continue his training and education.
