Hilma M. Sastamoinen

Hilma was born May 1, 1919, in Freda, a daughter to the late Otto and Hilja (Salo) Erikkila.

Hilma moved with her family to Detroit. On February 9, 1946, she was married to her husband, Earl, in Detroit. In the mid 1980s, the couple moved back to the area to make their home.

Hilma is survived by her three children. Her daughters, Nancy (Tom), Diane; son, Ronald (Jackie); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

We all love her and will miss her greatly.

Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for the month of May and will be announced at that time. Hilma will be laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery in South Range in the spring.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mountain View Mortuary of South Range, Antila Funeral Service, Inc.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Michigan Chapter, Upper Peninsula Region; 710 Chippewa Square Ste. 201, Marquette, MI 49855, in the name of Hilma Sastamoinen.
