Dolores Fisher

CALUMET -Dolores Fisher, 81, a lifelong resident of Calumet, passed away peacefully at her home in Marquette on Sunday, September 18, 2016, in the loving care of her family.

She was born on October 19, 1934, in Hancock, to Walter and Eva (Olson) Englund. She attended Calumet public schools.

Dolores loved to spend time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

She was an avid sports fan. She loved hockey and baseball. Her favorite teams were the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers. She also loved to watch TV. Her favorite shows were “Walker, Texas Ranger,” “Blue Bloods” and her favorite soap opera “Days of our Lives.”

On December 27, 1957, she married Gordon Fisher in Calumet.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon; a son Gordon Jr.; two brothers, Clarence and James; and a sister Norma Peterson.

She is survived by her son, Mike ( Stacey ) Fisher of Marquette; five grandchildren, Joe, CJ, Breanna, Shawn and Tyler; one brother, Gerald Englund of Calumet; four sisters, Betty Phelps of Marquette, Carol (James) Patrick of Calumet, Jean (Eugene) Kojala of Negaunee and Mary Gail (Robert) Gilles of Arizona.

Private family graveside services will be held at a future date.

A special thank you to her grandson, C.J., for his constant vigilance, love and compassion while caring for his Grandma.

The family would also like to thank Dolores’s caregivers, Tina and Eileen and special volunteer, Linnea for the great care she received.
