Eleanor Mullin

RICE LAKE – Eleanor Mullin, 91, passed away on September 14, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Health and Rehab in Lake Linden.

Eleanor was born to William and Marcella (Trombley) Thurner on April 3, 1925, in Ramsay.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Mullin on September 29, 1954.

She worked for Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee as a machine operator for 21 years. After retiring from Briggs & Stratton, she moved to Rice Lake.

Eleanor was an avid crafter. When she wasn’t working on crafts, she loved to feed the wildlife in her back yard.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Richard; and brothers, Eugene, Marvin, Jerry, and George.

Surviving are her husband, Joe Mullin of Lake Linden; son, Eugene (Gail) Frank of Baltic; daughter, Darlene Filter of Rice Lake; brother, Ken Thurner of Alabama; sister, Joan Bedore of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet with Father John Martignon to officiate.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to service starting at 12 p.m. Burial will take place at the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
