Patricia Ann Barton

She was born January 14, 1939, in Bay City, a daughter of the late Ferris and Mabel (Fifield) Snover.

On September 7, 1957, she was married to Gary Barton. He passed away July 12, 1978.

Pat was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton.

She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and spending time on her beach with family. She was a wonderful baker and was famous for her bread and cookies she lovingly made and shared during the holidays and throughout the year. Pat loved her family dearly and caring for them brought her great joy.

Pat is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jacki Larkin of Shakopee, Minnesota and her children, Bradon (Carly) Barton, Travis (Candi) Bolton, Danielle (Eric) Gilbertson, Kristi (Mike) Blomgren and Kyle Larkin; Pam (Tom) Beggs of Dollar Bay and their children, Jamey Vettori, Joe Vettori and Kellee Beggs; Dan (Pam) Barton of the Houghton Canal and their children, Ashley (Jake) Dunstan and Gary Barton; Jodi (Norm) Kommes of Chassell and their children, Desiree (Mike) Beutler, Deanna (Bob) O’Connell and Brent Kommes; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, Pat was also preceded in death by three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sandy and Cheryl.

Pat’s family would like to thank the staff at Franklin House and PortagePointe for the wonderful care given to their mother and for loving her too.

Pat’s wishes were to be cremated. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at the Oskar Cemetery.
