Scott P. Engman

MARQUETTE Scott P. Engman, 47, of Marquette, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016, at UP Health System-Marquette.

Scott was born on June 26, 1969, in Hancock to Dennis and the late Judith (Hokenson) Engman and was a 1989 graduate of Dollar Bay High School.

Scott was formerly employed as a certified nurse’s aide at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility until he became disabled, where he had always wanted to become a nurse.

In his free time, Scott enjoyed going to the casino with his former wife, Jonna Lemieux. He also enjoyed the company of his friends and family.

Survivors include his father, Dennis Engman of Calumet; a brother, Jay (Heidi) Engman of Marquette; two sisters, April Wickstrom of Laurium and Molly Engman of Baraga; his cherished aunt, Beverly Hokenson of Marquette, whom Scott lived with since 2005; one niece, Abigail Engman; a nephew, Jeffrey Engman; his former wife, Jonna Lemieux of Marquette; also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins.

Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Judy; and best friend, Charlie Stetter.

A graveside service will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet with Rev. Abraham Mupparathara of Sacred Heart Catholic Church presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA, 22202, in Scott’s memory.
