Judith A. Siirila

PAINESDALE – Judith A. Siirila ,76, of Painesdale, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2016, at the Omega House, where she had been a resident for two days.

In her younger years, Judie loved playing baseball as a pitcher. After her kids were grown, Judie enjoyed many wonderful years touring the states on the back of their Harley, in the company of a great group of friends. Most of all, she loved to go to the beach at Misery Bay, with her granddaughter. They spent many beautiful UP summers there.

Though you never heard her complain about it, Judie was a cancer survivor of 25 years. She truly had a heart of gold.

Judie was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Ann and Rudolf Gregorich; and her in-laws.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie Siirila of Painesdale; daughters, Julie (Norm Kangas) of Rhode Island, Jackie (Jim Saari) of Painesdale; her son, Jim (Pam and Jazmyne) of Painesdale; and her granddaughter, Amber Oja of Trimountain, who made her life complete and she was so very proud of; siblings, Joanne Kyle and her son Greg Kyle, of Colorado and Janet Gregorich of Atlantic Mine; sister-in-laws, Janice (Ray) Peterson of Illinois, Jeanne Rabine of Painesdale and her son Joel of Marquette; and her brother in-law, Jack Siirila of Painesdale. She is also survived by many wonderful biker friends and neighbors of many years.

As requested, there will be no service. Cremation will take place.

The family would like to thank the Omega House and staff for making her last days peaceful and pain free. They would also like to thank the O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home of Hancock for taking care of their needs at this difficult time.
