She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden, past president and member of the St. Anne’s Altar Society and an active member of the Lake Linden Unit 90 Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years. During much of that time, she served as Unit Chaplain and faithfully attended every Memorial Day Service at the Lake Linden Village Hall and the various cemeteries.

Marge loved to be with people. She was always sporting a festive hat to celebrate the different holidays. She loved to get in her car and travel the country, stopping at every historical landmark she could. She also loved to read, watch westerns, sew, take photographs, play cards, pick agates and work in her flower garden.

For the past two years, she had made her “home” at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility, where she made many new friends with the staff and residents.

She still enjoyed making trips to the Casino and being chauffeured around by her children for Sunday afternoon outings including, rides in her son’s Road Runner and cruising the lake on her daughter’s pontoon boat.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 29, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden. The Ladies Auxiliary Unit 90 will have a service at 6:00. A parish prayer service will be at 6:30.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Father Jeffrey Kurtz to officiate. A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held following the funeral Mass at the Lake Linden Post 90 Hall.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials be made to the Lake Linden Ladies Auxiliary Unit 90 for their charity work with Veterans.
