Ellen Marie Orr

CHASSELL – Ellen Marie Orr (Priuska), of Chassell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Originally from Fulton, she was born on January 15, 1937, the daughter of John and Saima Priuska.

She was the sister to William  Priuska (Mary Ann) of Calumet; and wife of Robert Orr for 56 years; beloved mother to Lynette Orr of Madison Heights, Maryellen Pecar (Michael) of Rochester Hills and Julie Orr of Auburn Hills.

Ellen was the 1956 homecoming queen of Suomi, now Finlandia University.

The family thanks the loving care she received from Community Action, the I.C.U. staff and hospice of U.P. Health System-Portage and her private caregivers who became family.

Donations can be sent in her memory to Baraga Houghton Keweenaw Community Action at 926 Dodge Street, Houghton, 49931.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017,  at the Ryan Funeral Home. Viewing will be from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a funeral service with Pastor Tim Johnston at 3 p.m.
