Paul F. Cloutier

LAURIUM – Paul F. Cloutier, 66, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at his home.

He was born in Laurium on March 25, 1950, a son of Frances and Violet Cloutier.

He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and was a graduate of the Calumet High School Class of 1968. He attended both Michigan Technological University and Northern Michigan University.

Paul lived and worked in Arizona and was employed with the Embassy Suites.

He returned to the Copper Country in 1999 and was employed with Laurium Housing, until his health prevented him from working any longer. He remained there as a resident.

Paul was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and a past member of the Copper Country Artists Association. He was a well known local artist.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Cloutier.

He is survived by his father, Francis; brother, Carlos (Connie); sister, Denise (Randy) Reed; and brothers, Chris (Cecile) and Lauren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are many friends and extended family at Laurium Housing.

A Mass of Christian Burial and memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
