Earl C. Versailles

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Earl C. Versailles, 78, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2017.

Earl was born February 14, 1939, in Lake Linden located in the Upper Peninsula. Earl is the son of the late Clement and Violet (Carlson) Versailles.

He is a veteran of the United States Army, and after his discharge, Earl married Linda R. Whitaker.

He volunteered on the North Prairie Fire Department until moving to Waukesha, and was very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and vacationing with his family.

Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, of Waukesha; three children, Pamela of Waukesha, Todd of Fort Atkinson and Penny (Michael) Tahtinen of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Sierra and Sommer Versailles and Daniel, Julia, Abigail, and Chloe Tahtinen; brothers, Francis and Ransom. Earl was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many dear friends.

Earl was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon, and brother, Dewey.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Haase Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 103 W. Eagle St. Eagle, WI.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. on Sunday until the time of service. Burial will be on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery Hwy. 67 in Eagle.

Earl’s family wishes to thank Dr. Christopher Fox, Dr. Hamid Saadati, Dr. Kooroush Saeian along with Heartland hospice nurses Missy Chicker and Andrew Graf for their care.
