Fredrick L. Mathes
HANCOCK — Fredrick L. Mathes, 65, a resident of the Quincy House in Hancock, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 5, 2018, at home, following a short illness.
Fred was born on August 20, 1953, the son of the late Donald and Juanita (LaBelle) Mathes.
He was raised in L’Anse, then lived at the Quincy House in Hancock for the past 27 years.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his sisters, Linda (Howard Heckel) Perry of Chassell, Judy Sullivan of Alston, and Betty (Tom) Bartus of Jenison; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his family at the Quincy House.
As requested by the family, no immediate services will be held.
Burial will take place at a later time in the Evergreen Cemetery in L’Anse.
