Michael ‘Mike’ Koski
ATLANTIC MINE – Michael “Mike” Koski, 75, of Atlantic Mine, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2019, at the Lighthouse at Hancock.
He was born on March 8, 1944, in Hancock, a son of the late Benhart and Viola (Kemppainen) Koski, and was a 1962 graduate of Jeffers High School.
Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during Vietnam from 1962-1966.
He worked for 29 and a half years, for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, retiring in 1996. Mike was a life member of Ranger Post 6165 VFW of South Range.
Besides his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Kevin.
He is survived by two sisters, Marie Ruotsala of Atlantic Mine, and Carol (Cliff) Dahl of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Atlantic Mine Cemetery, with Pastor Elmer Liimatta to officiate.
Military rites will be conducted by Range Post.
Arrangements are being handled by the Mountain View Mortuary of South Range, Antila Funeral Service, Inc.
