James ‘Jim’ L. Christner

HOUGHTON — James “Jim” L. Christner, 80, a resident of Houghton, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, as a result of injuries due to an automobile accident.

He was born October 26, 1938, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Frank and Ruth (Heckman) Christner.

Jim was a veteran of the Unites States Navy.

Locally, Jim was a well-known antique dealer for many years, making lots of friends.

He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and was known to be quite a jokester.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Mason Christner of Grove City, Ohio, David (Peggy) Fink of Baggaley, Pennsylvania, Tom Fink of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Edwin Fink of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Cora (James) Mullins of Galion, Ohio, and Cathy Word of Pataskala, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In accordance with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred in his mother’s grave in Pennsylvania.
