Steven David Long

Steve was an amazing musician, loyal friend, and the beloved son of Georgina (Salmi) Heck.

Steve-O spent most of his life in the East Lansing area, but came home to Houghton County to live with his mom and his cat, Sam. His green thumb, sharp wit, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his mother, Gina; sister, Sharon Rogers; nephews, Leon Rogers and Thorin Rogers of Oregon; aunt, Sandra Salmi and family of Toronto, Canada; and many friends.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church, 400 Ingot St., Hancock, with Pastor Jesse Aho to officiate.

Visitation for friends and family will be one hour prior to the service on Monday in the church.

Arrangements are being handled by the Jukuri-Antila Funeral Home of Hancock, Antila Funeral Service, Inc.
