William A. Herstrom
CALUMET — William A. Herstrom, 66, a resident of Calumet, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in Milwaukee Wisconsin, from complications following a bone marrow transplant.
He was born on November 11, 1952, in Detroit to Marvin & Annette (Wahtola) Herstrom. Bill was a graduate of Calumet High School & a Navy veteran.
After serving his country, Bill worked in the mining industry, in maintenance at Calumet Housing & also as a bartender.
He was an avid animal lover & also the great outdoors. He enjoyed camping & fishing, watching sports & cooking for his neighbors & friends.
Bill is survived by his father, Marvin Herstrom; his brother, Terry Herstrom; sisters, Lynda (Svante) Andersson, Lisa (Mike) O’Leary & Lori Herstrom; nephews, Matt & Ryan; and nieces, Jessica, Britta & Lea.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette Herstrom.
A gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Erickson Crowley Peterson funeral home.
