Melba Marx
CALUMET — Melba Marx, 92, a resident of Calumet, passed away on Thursday morning, November 21, 2019, at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
She was born on April 6, 1927 in Calumet, a daughter of the late Arne and Ida (Paulson) Seppala. She attended the Osceola School.
On September 22, 1945 she was married to Harold Marx and he preceded her in death in 1987.
She is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan; brothers, Leroy Stewart Seppala and Howard Seppala; a sister, Lyla Herstrom; and a son-in-law, Fritz Picken.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Picken of Lansing; sons, Dave (Joan) Marx of Calumet and Joseph Marx of White Lake; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and special friend Bernie Murn.
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
