Luella Ann Ryti

CALUMET — Luella Ann Ryti, 73, a former resident of Calumet passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Lighthouse in Hancock with her loved ones by her side.

She was born April 13, 1946 in Hancock to the late Alfred and Flora (Ruonavaara) Hendrickson. She graduated from Hancock High School in 1964. On May 21,1983 she married Ralph Ryti and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2015.

Luella loved to sing, talk on the phone and spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Hancock.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne and Brother-in-law Clarence Marttila.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara (Joseph) Myllyoja of Dollar Bay; her grandchildren, Bradley, Emma, and Isaac; her brother, Joseph Hendrickson of Hancock; her sisters, Irene Hendrickson of Hancock, Lillian Hendrickson of Battle Ground, Wash., Cecile Hendrickson of Hancock, Tekla (Karl) Schmeusser of Battle Ground, Sandra (Ron) Miller of Battle Ground, Kathleen Fritz Kolb of Calumet, Sharon (Gerry) Hammerstrom of Pasco, Washington, and Gretchen (Randy) Mayra of Hancock; her stepsons, Ralph (Joan) Ryti, Gary Ryti and Kenneth Ryti all of Lower Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephew and special friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 12 p.m. in the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Hancock with Ron Jouppe to officiate. Friends may call at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
