Bettyann Caron

CALUMET — Bettyann Caron, 61, a resident of Calumet, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020, at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.

She was born on March 13, 1958, in Hancock, to Richard and Fanny (Miller) Lambert. She attended the local schools and graduated from Lake Linden Hubbell High School.

She loved spending time and visiting with her family, her favorite time of year to spend with her family was around the holidays. She was avid berry picker.

Bettyann worked at Michigan Tech for 22 years as a custodian.

Bettyann was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Hubbell. She was very active in the church, serving as a acolyte. She was in charge of changing the vestments on the altar.

In 1983 she was united in marriage to James Caron in their backyard in Hubbell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Fanny Lambert; sister, MaryAnn Garrow and her husband, James Caron.

She is survived by her nieces, Lucille (Pat) Gibson of Calumet and her children, Cody and Kyle of Calumet, Danielle(Rick) Miller and family of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Lisa Thompson of Jeffersonville, Indiana; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barb (Jim) Steele of Calumet, Joe (Karla) Caron of Calumet, Dan (Cindy) Caron of Calumet, Mary (Tony) Fears of Indiana, Roberta (Andy) Grundy of Illinois, Robert (Pikul) Carol of Florida and their children, Jesse (Alicia) Caron of Calumet, Laura (Jeff) Kinnunen of Ishpeming, Marc (Jen) Steele of Georgia, and Molly and kids of Calumet; her special friends, Becky Koski of Lake Linden, Bob and Karen Mayotte and family; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins that live out of town.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020, at 7 p.m. at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Lundquist to officiate.

Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet on Friday, February 21, 2020, from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will take place in the spring at Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
