Hilja Maria ‘Peggy’ Johnson
HAZEL PARK — Hilja Maria “Peggy” Johnson of Hazel Park, Mich., formerly of Calumet, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 18, 2020 at the age of 100.
Born on September 2,1919, in Copper City, to Andrew and Anna Wuotinen. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wilfred W. Johnson, as well as her numerous siblings.
She is survived by her three children, Michael (Pat) Johnson, Phyllis Reagan, and Debra Gerard.
She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private viewing is being held at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Home in Ferndale, followed by interment at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
