Jill Suzanne Ross
SAULT STE. MARIE — Jill Suzanne Ross of 3195 Woodfield Blvd. Apartment 141, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on April 13, 2020 at Chippewa County War Memorial Hospital in Sault Sainte Marie. Jill was born to George and Elsie Ross on November 1, 1950 at Portage View Hospital in Hancock Michigan. She graduated from Hancock High School with the class of 1969. After graduation Jill worked at various places in Hancock including 15 years in the billing department at Cypress Manor. She spent the last 5 years living in Sault Ste. Marie.
Jill was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and could be found watching the Packers whenever they were on TV. She also enjoyed golf with friends. Jill was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Hancock, Michigan. She also enjoyed going to the casino and playing video poker.
Jill is survived by sister’s Janis (Edward) Pello of Palm Bay Florida, Judy (David) Jahn of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, brother’s George (Sherri) Ross of Ripley, Michigan, Robert (Shmo) Ross of Hancock, Michigan, and John (Pyong) Ross of Pueblo, Colorado. She is also survived by Niece’s Dawn (Brian) Hudson, Sally Moilanen, Denise (Michael) Capalbo, Heidi (Thomas) Boothby and Ashley (Gregg) Valentine and Nephews Justin Dubay, Chris (Amber) Dubay, Dennis Jahn, Scott (Taylor) Dubay, Joshua Ross and Brandon Ross along with countless other cousins and friends that she was very fond of.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents George (Cowboss) and Elsie Ross, Sister’s Jeanne (Gerald) Andrews and Roberta (Bobby Sue) Ross and Nieces Sarah (Bob) Fisher and Elise (Robert) Kemppainen and also Nephew Daniel Forsman.
To honor Jill’s wishes there will be no services. Final resting place will be Forest Hills Cemetery in Houghton, Michigan.
Jill will be remembered for being a truly loving person who cared deeply for her family and friends. She will be missed by all.
