Diane Elaine Ek

YACOLT, Wash. — Diane (Dinah) Ek, 77, went peaceful to heaven on July 9, 2020, with her children gathered around her. She was 77 years old.

Dinah was born on August 1, 1942 in Hancock, to William and Effie (Simula) Erickson.

She married Douglas John Ed on July 31, 1965, and they raised a family of 13 children. They made their home in Yacolt, Washington.

Dinah enjoyed caring for her flower beds, traveling to visit family in other states and serving the Christians in her home. She carried a true and saving faith which was dear to her heart. She was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Dinah was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

She is survived by eight sons, John (JoAnn) of Battle Ground, Jerry of La Center, Jay (Traci) of Battle Ground, Eric (Collette) of La Center, Owen (Sheila) of Battle Ground, Greg (Kim) of Davenport, Ken (Jennifer) of Marengo, Wisconsin, and Danny of Yacolt, Washington; five daughters, Kara (Sam) Hendrickson of Dassell, Minnesota, Karly (Tony) Daniels of Yacolt, Washington, Mari (Aaron) Williamson of Yacolt, Washington, Jana (Kirby) Korpela of Hancock, and Krissa (Sam) Larsson of La Center; along with 94 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Her siblings are Maryann (Richard) Rosenlund, Jerry (Judy), Ginny, Leo (Joan), Marie (George) Denofre, Julene (Tony) Dahldren, Connie ( Rick) Hammerstrom, Joe (Celie) all of Upper Michigan, Billie (Kathleen) of Kalispell, Montana, and Jack (Mary) of Yacolt, Washington.

The funeral will be held at the Old Apastolic Lutheran Church of Lewisville, on July 14, 2020. The service will have a limited attendance.
