Teresa Mohar Krats

TUCSON, Ariz. — Teresa Mohar Krats, 77, a resident of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully on June 9, 2020.

She was born on September 23, 1942, daughter of Florian and Frances (Jenich) Mohar in Calumet. She attended and graduated from the Sacred Heart High School with the Class of 1960. She was a student from the last graduating Class from Sacred Heart High School.

On June 23, 1963, she was united in marriage to William Krats at the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.

Following marriage, Teresa and Bill began a journey across Canada and the United States, while Bill worked as an engineer for the mines. She raised 3 children, Carol, Jim, and Dave, who live in Arizona and Colorado. She wore many hats in her travels; wife, mother, sister, aunt, Girl Guide Leader, and volunteer firefighter. She was active in her church, and in her children’s lives. A hockey mom, before that even became a thing.

She led a full life, and will be missed by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Florian and Frances Mohar; two sisters, Molly Ann Black and Rose Marie Krasicky; and nephew, Brad Mohar.

She is survived by her husband, Bill of Arizona; her children, Carol Krats of Arizona, Jim (Nina) Krats of Colorado, Dave Krats of Colorado; two granddaughters, Hannah and Tia; two brothers, Florian (Jan) Mohar of Arizona and Paul (Julie) Mohar of Calumet; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be planned for later this summer at the Lake View Cemetery.
