Thomas ‘Tom’ Charles Wiinamaki
FLINT — Thomas “Tom” Charles Wiinamaki, 83, of Flint, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 8497 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
Pastor Bart Muller will be officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flushing.
Visitation will be held 12 p.m. until time of service at the church on Wednesday.

Thomas was born August 21, 1938, in Mohawk, the son of the late Wilho and Tyne Marie (Mattila) Wiinamaki.
He married Nancy Maki in Elo, on June 9, 1956. Tom was a car hauler for 33 years, retiring from Teamsters Local 299.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church for 53 years. Tom enjoyed singing, playing guitar and boating. He loved spending time with his family. Tom also loved golf. When he was young he was a caddy in the U.P. at the well known golf clubs. In his youth Tom was a singer at barn dances in the U. P.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Nancy Wiinamaki of Flint; children, Shari (Dennis) Sweeney of Swartz Creek, Lori (David) Mertz of Wayland, Jeffrey Wiinamaki of Flint; grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Jacob, Jason, Danielle, Desirae, Jessica, Jeni, Kristi and Devin; along with 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Craig Wiinamaki, Randell Wiinamaki and Berry Wiinamaki; and brother, Garfield “Mort” Wiinamki.
