George M. Aalto
CALUMET — George M. Aalto, 61, a resident of Calumet passed away on Saturday November 21, 2020, at Mission Point of Hancock.
He was born on October 8, 1959, in Calumet a son of the late Reino and Elaine (Fountaine) Aalto.
George was a life long resident of the Copper Country attending school at Calumet and working for various area machine shops over the years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his friends. He was a life long Detroit Lions fan.
Preceding him in death was a brother-in-law Donald Brillhart.
Surviving: His life partner Sherry Koory, two sons: Dustin and Josey, three grandchildren, two sisters: Sharon Waarala and Diane Brillhart, two brothers: Gary Aalto and David (Jackie) Aalto.
A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek in the spring of 2021.
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
