Leola Dahl

She was born on April 17, 1930, in Detroit, a daughter of the late William and Olive (Laity) Sampson. Leola graduated from Southeastern High School in Detroit.

She was united in marriage to Steve Farkas and had four children. After his passing, Leola was married to Roy Dahl on July 22, 1988. They had 32 years of marriage and enjoyed traveling to Europe and all over the United States.

Leola was employed at Cypress Manor in Hancock and at JCPenny in Houghton. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Leola was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Dollar Bay.

Preceding her in death was her first husband Steve and a brother Bill.

Surviving are: Her husband, Roy. Children: Danny Farkas of Sundusky, Michgan; Nancy Farkas of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; Larry (Lori) Farkas of Muskegon, Michigan, and Kenneth Farkas of Baraga. 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2021, at 11a.m. in Bethany Baptist Church in Dollar Bay with Pastor Caleb Jackson to officiate.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10-11 a.m. The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
