Earl Thomas Rautio

He was born on May 14 1942, in Houghton, son of the late, Wayne Ruatio, and Gertrude Timonen Rautio. Tom was a graduate of Houghton High school.

After graduation, he served for four years in the U.S. Navy.

Tom worked for Rota Engineering, Bethel View products, and finally, for Parks in North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clayton and Cliffton (Skip); sisters, Gloria Romanelli and Jennette Milli Curtis.

Tom is survived by his brother, Wayne (Mert) Diane Rautio of Virginia; sisters, Ruth Jerry Yoesting of Ohio, and Darlene Leonard Dubay of Washington; and his sister-in-law, Faye Rautio of Hougton; and numerious grand nieces and nephews.

Strong yet gentle, Tom was a man of few words, but his kindness spoke eliquently for those who were blessed to know him. A service will be held later this summer, in August.
