Keri Mae LeClaire

PELKIE — Keri Mae LeClaire, 40, of Pelkie, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born November 16, 1980, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of David “Bo” LeClaire and Lynn Lepola.

Keri graduated from L’Anse High School in 1999. She worked at Terex, Ojibwa Casino, and Larry’s Market, prior to getting her CNA. She worked as a CNA at Bayside Village for three years and currently worked at the Houghton County Medical Care facility. She was a caretaker for many family and friends, always willing to help people out and was a very giving person. She loved spending time with her family, they always came first. She was a people person and always gave a hug and said I love you.

Surviving are her significant other of 20 years, Jon Dowd of Pelkie; children, Austin Seppanen of L’Anse, Justin Dowd of Madison Heights, Abbi (Eathan) Dowd of Pelkie, Zack Dowd of Pelkie; grandson, Noah Seppanen; mother, Lynn Lepola of Baraga; father, David “Bo” (Tammy) LeClaire of L’Anse; siblings, Jason (Laura) Jolgren of Aspen, Colorado, James LeClaire of Baraga; Brynn LeClaire of L’Anse; maternal grandfather, James Lepola of Watton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Margaret and Pat LeClaire, and Helen Lepola.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the Covington Cemetery with Rev. Richard Little officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Covington Twp. Multi-Purpose Building. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
