Mark W. Latvis

He was born on November 6, 1956, to Peter and Viola Latvis in Highland Park, and grew up in Atlantic Mine. He graduated from Jeffers High School with the class of 1974.

Mark worked as a welder with various companies in the area including Lakeshore, Inc. and Pettibone Corp. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also excelled at pool, darts, shuffleboard and horseshoes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gary and Dennis; and a brother-in-law, Aaron Brown.

Surviving is his son, Travis (Shanice) Latvis and their children, Annalyse, Natalie, Emylee and Malakai of Amasa; daughter, Alaina (David) Carlson of Duluth; sister, Sheryl Brown of Detroit, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside ceremony will be held at a later day at the Mountain View Cemetery with a memorial to take place afterwards.
