What it means to be a believer

To the editor:

Creation scientists have proven that the Grand Canyon and the Niagara Falls could have been formed in the last 6,000 years.

Ever wonder why there are so many genealogies in the Bible? One reason is because they date the earth! In Matthew 1, there is a genealogy showing that there were only 4,000 years from Adam to Christ!

Scientists think the world is billions of years old because they believe creation didn’t take seven days, it took billions of years.

Have you ever read the creation account? God purposely wrote, “and there was morning and there was night” after every day, so that people would know it’s seven literal days!!

A seven day work week is based on the seven day creation and that’s why the seventh day was a Sabbath day of rest. We do not have Sabbath every seven million years, we have one every week.

When the earth was completed on the sixth day, you could have dropped a scientist on to the scene at that moment and he would have opined that the earth was six billion years old! God made the earth fully developed.

When the Bible says seven days, it means seven days, just like Noah was on the boat 40 days. No one changes the numbers in the Bible except when it comes to creation.

If people are going to change the Bible to fit their opinions, than change the whole Bible, not just one page … which is what the world likes to do on a regular basis.

One criteria of being a true believer, resulting in the forgiveness of your sins, is that you believe every word that is found in His Word. Nothing more, nothing less. That’s what it means to be a believer.
