To the editor:

This letter addresses the self-qualified Californian author who obviously has no agenda (DMG 9-4-13). One point he missed: the deity he refers to is God. The Old Testament repeatedly uses phrases like “…and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.” (Ezek. 13:9)

No “jumble” of topics in the Bible, God has told us in the clearest, simplest way what is needed to live a good life. He spared nothing in warning us about what sinfulness exists in the world. He admonishes us, “I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them.” Ezek. 20:19

Also, He is not a God of confusion. Lovingly, God has told us how we can be made fit to live with Him forever in Heaven. The Bible is not “meant to describe a religion” but rather a relationship with Jesus Christ.

God knew intellectuals would be too proud and puffed up to believe the Gospel message or anything else in the Bible. Therefore, “God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, things which are not, to bring to nought things that are.” (1 Corin 1:27-28)

“[I]ndoctrination sessions” take place in our schools and universities every day. Heading the list of unwanted classes, sex ed material from pre-school up is what “you definitely would not want your young children to read.”
