Cemetery is in great shape
To the editor:
Compliments to the Hancock City Lakeside Cemetery grounds keepers.
Having relatives buried in most of the local cemeteries I can honestly say that the Hancock Cemetery has taken on the look of a golf course through a lot pride, hard work and a couple of push mowers and encourage anyone to visit it before the winter closing.
My grandpa was buried up there in 1927 so many graves have now been taken care of with this small team that had no care for many years.
With limited budgets some type of spring cleanup by the local service clubs might help alleviate some the complaints that were registered in this newspaper regarding other local cemeteries. Lots of old graves and unfortunately some newer ones with no one to take care of them.
