To the editor:

The Stanton Township Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the following for their help at the Dunstan barn fire on November 6th: Adams Township Fire Department, Hurontown Fire Department, Quincy-Franklin/Boston Fire Department, Mercy Ambulance for being on stand-by, Houghton County Sheriff Department, Houghton Fire Department for bringing foam, the Sam Jenkins family for pizzas, Paul of Red Cross, McDonald’s, Scott Rubich at Econo Foods who brought 20 cases of bottled water to the scene, Mary Durocher for donating diesel fuel for the water pump, the neighbors who brought coffee, MJO for bringing an excavator, and anyone else I may have missed. Cooperation from so many people helped keep a bad situation from becoming much worse.

The teamwork was impressive, and your assistance was very much appreciated.
