To the editor:

We would like to extend a very big THANK YOU to the Copper Country Old Timer’s Hockey League for their ongoing commitment to support local hockey and rinks. This past March, they held their 31st Annual Hockey Tournament and donated the Sunday wristband sales to help build a “new” warming shack for our ice rink located in Coburntown (Franklin Township) on Quincy Hill. We are pleased to say with the money received from the wristbands, and 50/50 sales we raised over $1000.

Thank you to everyone involved with the Old Timer’s organization, to all that purchased 50/50 tickets and showed up at the rink. Congratulations to our 50/50 winners: Robert Mikesch, Randy Wakeham, Jill Fallon, and Renee Rouleau. We couldn’t do this without the communities help!
