Physicals are a benefit to all

To the editor:

Physicals to Students @ Jeffers High School were again given free from the Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center in Hancock.

It is a great benefit for all athletes to participate in this and it is sure appreciated by all. Thank you to all who take the time to make sure this is available every year for our students. Thank you.

Thanks to all for playground

To The Editor,

The Barkell Elementary PTO would like to again extend a huge “THANK YOU” to everyone who played a role in making the new playground at Barkell Elementary a reality! There are two additional local businesses we would like to thank for their vital roles in making this playground a success. We are very thankful to Dave’s Super Service in Hancock for helping us advertise for playground fundraisers and for volunteers to build our playground.

We are also extremely grateful to UPPCO and Dan Barton for their help in preparing the playground site.

The work went so much faster with their assistance!

We would also like to thank everyone who came out to the Grand Opening of the new Barkell playground on Wednesday, June 11th!

It was a fun afternoon and the kids had a great time playing on the new equipment for the first time. The playground will be open to the public for evening and weekend hours throughout the summer.
