New LL team relied on help
To the editor:
The Keweenaw Little League fielded a softball team of 9 and 10 year old girls to play in the Little League district tournament for the first time in recent memory. We earned second place at the tournament, held in Ironwood.
Fielding the team would have been impossible without generous donations from Keweenaw Automation, Inc., Dirtworks Contracting, and the shoppers at the Mohawk Superette. I thank God for the opportunity the community, league, and families gave me to coach such a spirited group of girls.
