To the editor:

As the director of the Portage Lake District Library, I want to thank the voters of Chassell Township for their continued support of the library millage. As a Chassell resident myself, it makes me proud to live in a community that values library services and the educational resources we offer to children, families, and all residents. At PLDL, we strive to provide excellent service to our patrons, and Chassell resident’s support gives us the necessary resources to continue that work. By turning down the proposal to opt out of the library district, Chassell Township has ensured that every family in their community retains access to library materials. Again, thank you to all the voters who turned out in support of the library.
