CHS ’66 reunion was golden

To the editor:

The class of Calumet High School 1966 celebrated their Golden Anniversary Reunion on July 14-15 2016. After fifty years we felt as though we were coming home again to the Friday night football games; the teen dances at the CLK Teen Center; and of course the study halls. We had the opportunity to reminisce, to laugh and strength our bonds. We also mourned our fellow classmates, as we celebrated our fifty years. This reunion could not have been possible without a dedicated committee who worked unselfishly and tirelessly to ensure that the class of 1966 could once again come together to celebrate.

The social at the Siskiwit Reception Hall and the dinner at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge were just part of the two days venue which also included self-guided tours to the CLK teen center; Keweenaw National Historic Park and included a CLK Campus tour with Superintendent Darryl Pierce, of course Men’s Golf Outing was also on the venue. As an alumnus of Calumet High School 1966, I would like to express my thanks to the wonderful reunion committee who worked so hard; Katherine Dianda, Susan (Dimmer) Dana, George and Linda (Wilmers) Kingstrom, Barbara (Nelson) Johnson, Patrick Roche, Marcia (Richards) Primeau, Mary (Tepatti) Fleischmann, Laura Eaton, Dianne (Butkovich) Johnson, and Robert Hodges and Christine (Erickson) Hodges.
