To the editor:

The Copper Country Great Start Collaborative would like to thank the Portage Lake District Library for their collaboration in the “Going on a Book Hunt” Story Walk held August 6. Twenty-three children and their families joined the walk from Bridgeview Park to the Library for a craft activity and refreshments. We would also like to thank Great Start to Quality for their generous donation so that all families were able to go home with a copy of the book “Going on a Book Hunt.” The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library. Look for our next story walk this fall!
