To the editor:

On behalf of the U.P. Regional Blood Center, I would like to thank Shannon Nuls, Hancock High School and Julie Nordstrom, Jeffers High School, for hosting blood drives in the month of January. As a result of their efforts we collected 36 pints of blood. I would also like to thank all the community members and students who took the time to give the “gift of life.” Donating with the U.P. Regional Blood Center helps to ensure your local hospital has the blood products needed to care for their patients. Thank you for supporting your community blood center.
