Sullivan letter endorses Sullivan

To the editor:

John Sullivan requests your support. John is a write-in candidate for city of Houghton (Fourth District) County Commissioner in the Aug. 7 primary election.

To vote for John Sullivan, write in “John Sullivan” on the ballot as County Commissioner for the Fourth District. Also fill in the circle next to John’s name. If John receives enough “write in” votes his name will be on the ballot in November when you can vote for John Sullivan again.

John’s qualifications include BS Civil Engineering, licensed Engineer in the State of Michigan, City of Houghton resident 30 years, Houghton County resident 60 years.

John’s experience includes 13 years in state and local government positions, 30 years as a Consulting Engineer (27 years as City of Houghton Engineer, while serving as a Principal at UP Engineer & Architects), currently serving on the Houghton City Council.

Current volunteer activities: Quincy Mine Hoist Association Board Member/Secretary, Keweenaw National Park Advisory Commission member, Copper Country Firefighters History Museum President/tour guide, Quincy Smelter Association Board member/tour guide, Hope Fellowship Board member/Chairman. Father/ Grandfather.
